Table Talk :)

There is nothing funnier than a deep conversation with a 6 and 3 year old. :))

We were reading the story of Isaac and Rebekah this morning during our school time. I was explaining to them that God always knows what is best for us and that he picked just the right wife for Isaac.

I told them how God had placed me and Daddy together and that He also has the perfect wife in mind for them for when they get older.

The following conversation went something like this...

Con: But I don't know who I am gonna marry.
Me: It's not a big deal. You don't have to know until you get older.
Con: Well, I think I would either pick Macy, Faith, or Brooklyn. Macy is the nicest so I think I will pick her. Who are you gonna marry, Tuck?
Tuck: Probably Ethan
Me: You can't marry a boy silly, boys marry girls.
Tuck: I will pick Hallie then.
Me: You can't pick cousins either.
Con: It would be good if you could tho.:) When I grow up I just want to live here with you Mommy.
Tuck: When I grow up I want to marry Nini(his grandma).
Con: Nini is already married, and besides, when you grow up Nini is gonna be an OLD LADY!!!!

CRACK. ME. UP. Soooo funny!! :)

There is rarely a quiet moment at our house but I wouldn't change it for the world. For the most part, our days around here are pretty easy going and FUN! But, there are the occasional days where I feel like I am gonna lose my mind. You know the ones I am talking about ladies. The days where nothing goes right. You are totally out of groceries, the laundry is piled to the roof, the baby is unusually fussy, the older kids won't quit pestering one another, and your to-do list is growing by the minute.

These are the days where I find myself crying out to Jesus to help me keep it together until the hubby gets home. I usually slip into the other room for a quick phone call to my sister-in-law to do a little venting and receive some much needed encouragement. There is nothing like the listening ear of someone who has been there before.

Even though some days are hard, being a mommy is the most rewarding thing I have ever experienced. My days are filled with giggles and belly laughs, kisses and hugs, snuggle time with a good book, I love yous and other sweet words, crazy dance moves and lots of loud off key singing and so much more!!

I am honored that God chose me as the mother of these 3 boys and one day soon our sweet baby girl. Who could ask for more!?!? My cup runneth over!!
