Dear Anonymous,
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I appreciate all comments whether they be positive or negative.
Our adoption process is a reflection of our personal relationship with Christ. God has a heart for ALL orphans but how He uses each one of us is very personal and individualized. Some families may be called to adopt from Russia, some from Ethiopia, others the United States, or wherever God has laid on their heart. For us it is Ethiopia. And yes, God has blessed us with three boys and He has also given us the desire for a baby girl. Who knows what the future holds, but for right now, we are confident that He is leading us to a daughter. A daughter that He has had picked to be in our family from the beginning of time. This is a part of our own adoption story and someone elses story may look totally different. We serve a big God who could accomplish this ALL on His own but I am so glad that He chooses to use people to accomplish His purposes. I am honored and humbled that He is willing to use me and my family with all our faults and imperfections to bring about something so beautiful that brings Glory to His Name!!!

It sounds like someone is being critical - I don't accept anonymous comments for that reason. There is enough hurtful stuff out there, my blog is my happy space :-)
ReplyDeleteLove what you said.
ReplyDeleteReally hoping this not in response to a negative comment or email but it really looks like it is. I have been there, i have gotten those emails and those comments. They hurt. Each and everyone brings up different emotions. But I have decided that Anonymous comments get DELETED, if they can't stand behind their words then they aren't worth my time and if they don't have the respect to email me then they are just trying to be hurtful and hateful and not helpful. Actually today Rick Warren tweeted this:
An ANONYMOUS opinion means the content is so lame even THE SOURCE is too embarrassed to be identified with it! So ignore it!
I like that a lot!
Praying for you friend!
Love your heart, girl! And I totally agree!! God calls us all to different things, different countries and different children! I know He has called us both to bring our daughters home from Ethiopia!! Praise God that ya'll chose to be obedient to His calling!! Hope that ya'll have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!!!
ReplyDeleteProud of you. Well said friend! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteYes, our child(ren) have long been held in our hearts, our thoughts, our prayers. Prayers asking for guidance, for encouragement, for closing of doors that should be closed and opening of doors to the way we should be going.
ReplyDeleteYes, many of us are in different situations, have bio kiddos, have waited for parenthood, have both genders, one gender or waiting to see which one. BUT, yes, we have gone, in faith, in compassion, for different reasons and they are our personal and deeply felt decisions.
Walking beside you, sharing this most incredible journey. You will never be alone, for God holds us in his care, as you know, esp when most in need. Keep well and Keep the Faith!!!
